the contrast in this is awesome, the delicate lips and nose against the dark hair and eyes.
how did u manage to get such fine shading with xB pencils, if i so much as look at a 7B my paper fills with smudges!

In darkest areas there are about 5-7 layers hatched in different directions and blended with very delicate touch.

Lightest areas like nose or mouth are made only with "dirty" blending stumps and sharp eraser (to separate shadows and light areas).

ah right - ill have to give the dirty blending stump shading a try, i always struggle most with stopping the lightest bits becomming too dark, thanks

And remember to make couple delicate light layers rather than one or two dark with a lot of pressure.

IMHO najpiękniejsza jest wersja oryginalna. Ja tylko przerysowałem zdjęcie, nic specjalnego, ale... każdemu co miłe
