Description This was really an experiment.. I just started throwing shapes into an animal with no real reason behind the choices. Eventually I decided to have it be a plant alien but I wasn’t sure about the angle, so I used sheep references for the legs to get the anatomy right. A friend suggested the antlers which I think look nice. It was fun doing a different texture than fur on the body, it looks so shimmery to me.

I imagine he sends magic into everything he touches, so the little ground plants are glowing from that.

This is absolutely astounding. I love the collor pallete, the greens and yellows work very well of each other. Also the creature is adorbale!

Thanks so much! Usually when I paint with green it just comes out messy, but I found a truck to it. Accenting with pink and turquoise in the shadows really evens it out

How have you been? I haven’t heard from you in a while

No problem, you deserve the compliment, and I know green can be tricky as heck- it can easily come out as kind of eerie and unnatrural since light is very rarely green in nature. Happy to hear you are making it work

Also sorry for being a bit dead on the social side of DA, it has been a tiring year to me. A lot of school stuff blew up in my face and Im trying to even it out but altogether it's going fine.

How are you doing in this new big year?

Thats fine! It was a big year for all of us. A lot of changes have been happening around my life so this year is going to be completely different from my other years, and thats a good thing i hope school is treating you well

And yes, usually green turns out pukey and gross in my style. I’m glad Ive finally got the hang of it! One of the reasons I painted this was to practice green
