OH GOOOOOOOOD I worked SO friggin' hard on this.And I'm SO damn happy because you know what? Except for the background and sketch, I made this ENTIRELY with a mouse
And the picture's cute too though not exactly what I wanted.Anyway, background was so annoying, it took me three days -.-
EDIT: Some person said it was filtered so um, no it's not, I traced over a real picture to make it so I DON'T OWN THE REFERENCE OR THE PLACE OR WHATEVER I JUST TRACED OVER IT. Happy now?
Overall, the picture took me a whole week.
I hate it when the stuff you have in mind takes so long XD
I'll try and do the NaruHina one soon...though you might have to wait for a long time cause I haven't even STARTED on the background yet xD

Somehow I'm having a hard time believing that. You know "GISing a background and then applying a dozen filters to it" doesn't count as "drawing" it, right?

I like how you placed the characters so they covered up the other people. You can still see the one guy's head behind your Sakura, though. I wonder, why would you bother to trace over a detail that reveals how badly scaled your characters are to their surroundings? And then there's the fact that the shading on the background is much more realistic than the shading on the characters.

That's 'cause I traced over the picture ages ago when I wasn't exactly sure what I would do with it. I make all kinds of backgrounds when I don't feel like doing characters for later use.
About the shading thing: I always make my backgrounds more realistic-ish than the people.
And considering that I used that photo you just linked me as a reference, I only had to trace over the shaded parts, not have to consider the light source.
I repeat: It is not filtered.

FYI I made that without reference and ages ago.
And tracing a random photograph without permission isn't exactly art theft. What do you expect me to do? Go searching the world for the photographer to say 'Hi, I want to trace your picture for a background I want to make.'

You could at least mention in the description that the background is created from tracing/filtering some photograph, and give a link to the source. Or would that not garner you enough compliments?
