This picture is from the age meme where you show your character’s age progression. I started drawing the other ages…but I’m taking a break from it for now. So I guess this would be a WIP???It’s John Smith at the age of five wearing his mother’s sunhat. At this point in his life he had a very thick Southern accent as he was raised in South Carolina. His family was military so they moved around a lot and he eventually lost the accent though. The little furry fella’ was John’s puppy, Jeff.

OMG You have a Southern accent??? That's so cool!!! *high fives* Unfortunately I do not have a Southern accent, but I grew up with some pseudo-relatives and family friends that had it so I always felt a certain comfort around them. XDDD

*nods* I've lived in south Alabama my whole life, grew up around people that sound like they was the special surprise inside a box of Blue Collar Comedy O's. XD Hm, what would you describe your accent as? (And there is no such thing as not having one. Take some random Canadian that says they don't have one and stick them in Switzerland. The Swiss will tell them, "Yeah, you do!" XD)
There is a certain familiarity and warmness in the southern accent that screams "home" to me. @_@ lol.

HAHAHA I LOVE how you described the accents! XDDD Actually I guess I'd describe my accent as being typical standard American. Basically what you see on tv all the time or how the news anchors talk. Totally boring. =___= OTL
But I always wished I had a Mid-Atlantic accent. I love that accent SO MUCH. Its the one they used to use in those old black & white talkie-films. Like..how Theodore Roosevelt and Katharine Hepburn spoke. I just think its awesome that the accent didn't belong to any specific people or geographical location. All it was used for was theater and film back in the day. XDD (Sorry I TOTALLY went off topic! LOL)

XD I like to think of outlandish descriptions as being part of the job description. Sumpin' in the water, man. lmao. And ahaha, I wouldn't call it boring. I think if I had a standard accent it'd be much easier to attempt a different one when trying to speak another language. You should see my Rosetta Stone French. Every recording of me repeating the words ends in "YES I DID SO TOO SAY THAT RIGHT, 'PIERRE'! I WILL CUT YOU! D<" bwahha. Angrier = deeper and deeper accents.
I find that accent very pleasant to the ears. And ha~ I guess actors and actresses just wanted to sound... I suppose the word is sophisticated, or maybe even a form of exotic. I'm not good with words.
I am utterly convinced born-deaf people have their own accent. It can only be described as speaking through fog into wet, melting gravel. That is how it sounds to me. I think I'll talk that way just to screw with people after I've lost all my hearing... XD (very random and morbidly off-topic.)

but it's VERY cute. I love all the detail and his innocent childish smile. It's a shame he ditched his accent though, imagine if he still had it? I bet it would be harder to come up with the speech dialogue for his character XD
