Description Cow Statue that is part of the Branding the Brazos monument to the Chisolm Trail on the banks of the Brazos River in Waco, TX

The Branding the Brazos bronze sculptures tell the story of cattle drive history in Texas.  The Chisolm Trail was the main route for cattle driven from ranches in south Texas to markets in Kansas.  It is named for cattleman Jesse Chisolm and ran from 1867 to 1885.  Over 5 million cattle and 1 million mustangs were herded up this trail.
The monument includes 25 longhorn cattle and 3 cowboys on horseback, near the Waco Suspension Bridge.
