Gilliam Grocery at the Heritage Park of East Texas in Edgewood, TX

Gilliam Grocery was built in the adjacent town of Fruitvale, TX in 1936 (the original building built in the early 1930s burned). It operated as a grocery store and service station until 1965.

The Heritage park is a full city block in the downtown area of Edgewood, TX with a collection of historic buildings from the area's history. Some of the buildings had markers and information on them, however, my visit was about 2 years ago and I don't have the history of many available to me any more. I do plan to return in the near future so I can get more pictures and some history of each building on the site.
