Description
My character, Clementine, princess of the Citrus Palace, a subdivision of the Fruits Kingdom. She is a clementine fruit plant, not human, and sometimes she grows clementines in her hair when citrus is in season.More general practice. I tried a few new styles to improve my current problems, but despite this, nothing is turning out how I expect.
I think I'll try to use more earth tones from now on, they are my preference to work with.

For a second watercolor painting, this is amazing! (In general, it's fantastic too.) I'm just noticing a couple of things that stood out (general beginner's mistakes that I was doing for years... XP ) like I think you used white watercolor, which is a bit of why it doesn't look like normal watercolor; that and you put so much detail into it... dear lord girl! Generally I'm finding that watercolor is best if you use the paper to bring light to your painting, like you sort of did in the castle, and the rocks.

I have a white watercolor pigment square, but I actually didn't use it this time. All the white is acrylic paint or gel pen. I really wanted to get masking (to save areas of white) but I wasn't able to this time, so maybe next time I'll try it instead.
I think using the paper's natural white helps a lot for lighter areas, I'll try to do that more in the future, and maybe go a bit easier on the details.
