This is NOT an official cover for Wings of Fire.Luna from Wings of Fire!
I spent about a week and a half on this, I think. Without breaks I think it would be about 10 hours in total? Anyway! I absolutely love Luna and I think she needs her own book. I think we might get a book on her but who knows? If she doesn't get one, at least I drew one for her with inspiration from Joy Ang.
I've drawn four of the main characters from the third arc so far. I only have to do Swordtail now, and I don't think I'll get that done anytime soon.
Lastly, I recently discovered that Luna's name is most likely based off of the Luna moth! I honestly associate any "Luna" name with the moon (Lunar eclipse).

This is actually stunning! I love the slight post-apocalyptic feel, the dramatic lighting, and the insane amount of detail and care that's clearly been put into this! Great job. Someday I hope I'll be skilled enough to create art like this.

i didn't know that luna was based on the luna moth! i always assumed it just referred to the moon (and was largely confused about why she was green)
