a gift design for CrookedLynx
This character is part of a dragon species/dragonrider idea I've been working on. The dragon species the character belongs to is based off pterosaurs - I've been calling them 'pterodrakes' for lack of anything better haha. I'll post some info on them soon, but I wanted to show this guy off first!

This is super cute! They look like friendly bovine-dragons with a mix of dinosaur and insect. The gold accent with purple really gives them a royal feel.

Thank you!! haha I didn't notice that about the insect, I was just playing with pterosaur leg structure, but I guess they do look a bit like a praying mantis or something!

Ah, I think maybe cause I see the gold-legs like segments of an insect would :') It is a very fabulous design and I hope to see more critters like this soon!
