It is in LAtvija, Liepaja city. It used to be a military city some time ago.

I really like this a lot. It's perfect just the way it is but I wonder what kind of other feelings this scene would elicit from viewers if it were in a grey scale or solid B&W. There's a very slight halo surrounding the right side of the building which appears to emanate directly from behind the top of the stairs. If removed, I bet it would give a different feel, a more somber and desolate atmosphere. Last, I would crop out the waves to give the viewer the impression of an unknown depth to the water. All subtle changes but I would imagine it would make a great impact for a monochrome photo. As I said before, it's a beautiful work of art and is perfect "as is" but there are many ways in which to view something which can elicit different feelings. Thanks so much for sharing your art. This truly is an astounding photo!
