Season: Autumn 2023
Location: Main Densite, Tephe territory

Prompt: ‘I can't forget that voice.’

Summary: The hour was late and wolves were settling down for the night. However, not everyone had made it back from the battlefield and some were still mourning. Maeve was wandering the premise and they found Eigel attempting to comfort a group of bairns by singing a lullaby in his native tongue. Though he was trying to calm the youngsters, the vacant look in the Barbarian's eyes implied that he was in need of reassurance as well. The Vicar did not know his lullaby, but they recalled one that their mother used to sing to them when they were a pup.

Maeve quietly laid beside Eigel and chimed in, matching his tune. They sang together and the bairns began to nod off. The Vicar's eyes also began to close and by the time Eigel finished the song, Maeve had slipped into Ila's realm as well. Eigel glanced at the slumbering youngster and smiled softly. He then leaned his head against the nearby rock and stared into the moonlit horizon. Though it would be a while before he slept, the Barbarian finally felt somewhat at peace.

Yet when the morning comes, Birdman is going right back to regretting letting Venka go x'D... but, Maeve's comfort is still very appreciated <3. This is another amazing collab with TheStarvingRaven who did the sketch, lines, BG and shading here. I did the colors and was supposed to do the shading, but Roo is a beast and did that as well o.o. So, give them some extra cheers <3
