MASS AFFECTED. Mass Affection? It could have been worse. I couldn't come up with a better title. I tried. Trust me.Full view unless you want to throw up. Pixels are unkind to this. This is the crosshatched lineart. I'm going to clean it up later and try coloring again. I'll use a tutorial this time. I promise.
It's not Garrus, nor Shepard, but the parallel is obvious. They're part of something else I'm working on.

Turians are so difficult to draw but he looks great! and actually quite..smirky? wow. facial expression that doesn't look out of place. That is an accomplishment.

Yeeeeah they're both a bit like... "RAGE." Which totally works for them.
I had a reference picture because I'm, y'know, a cheater. They ARE hard. I tried to draw one from memory and it just wasn't happening. Expressions are very hard to draw for people who have no visible facial muscles. I feel like that SINGLE point in the eye is the only thing that conveys feeling.

OH god if using references is cheating then I've seriously fumbled up somewhere. I know what you mean though. I've doodled Garrus a couple of times in daydream world at work and he looks awful. like his face is made of dirty bricks. but I actually have the hardest time with their necks...
I think humans are meant to feel that way. In the books the turians are constantly refered to as "predatory" like raptors. o_o but I think you've managed to do more than just the eye here! good angles that make him look dangerous and actually expressional. I'm looking forward to more!
