I like how this painting gives me that old vintage animation feel :3

I really like how you did the shading in this painting. The style you did it in makes it as if it were something made from Studio Ghibli.
( To be honest, I could, at best, know only the main Japanese Cartoons -- 'Pokémon' and 'Sailor Moon' and the like -- that were successful enough to be dubbed in English.  )

I never saw my style as something from Studio Ghibli but that is nice to know. Thank you! ^3^
Also people tend to know the popular Japanese Cartoons rather than the ones been overshadowed by the the popular ones.

This question here may be somewhat suggestive, but are there pieces of Japanese Animation that are obscure, yet are critically more received?

I am not so sure if there are pieces of Japanese Animation that are obscured but criticality well recived because if an anime is good then word spreads around to others to go an watch said anime. but one punch man can be example (i think), One Punch Man has very humble beginnings and i highly suggest to queck out how One Punch Man went from a poorly drawned webcomic (that got really popular), into a popular anime.

Yeah, I heard that O.P.M. was a popular show for supposedly good reasons, but not so well that it used to be some luckily popular webcomic. Thanks for the example!

P.S: I think some elaboration on what I meant by your painting's similarity with a picture of a Ghibli style would be useful: it is the combination of the dry-brushing and the sometimes delicate thickness of your pen lines. Hope that helps.
