The problem with almost unlimited options for patterns is picking just one. Figured I'd share my progress for deltas official ref that i hope to finish and reveal tomorrow!

The most nerve-racking part was the question of if they would even make it to the ground or be shot down without any notice, a factor he had no control over whatsoever. Shaking the dreadful thought from his head the trooper tried to distract himself, casting a glance to the side door that was giving off a slight whistle as air made it through small unseen openings of the closed blast doors. The commanding trooper at the front of the gunship was the first to break the silence, after receiving orders over the com he turned to look at his brothers and informed them of the situation. “Alright men, we will be landing on the southwest side a few miles from the enemy complex, we have to push through some jungle to meet up with the Captains forces for the main assault. Make sure to watch your six, and keep an eye out for any hostile natives.” “Sir yes Sir!” The rest of the convoy barked in unison. The LAATs made their way to a clearing in the forest, starting their descent while attempting to avoid cannon fire from the distant separatist complex. As soon as the transport got close enough to the ground the doors slid open and they jumped out. The subtle crunching sound of sticks breaking under the armored boots were completely drowned out by the gunship's engines as it took off to regroup with the rest of the fleet. Their arrival had not gone unnoticed as cannon fire began to rain down over the trees from the complex. He could hear orders to make a break for the tree line being barked over the coms before a round from a cannon found its target in the form of a group of clones who had been caught out in the open. Droids had begun to emerge from the forest and opened fire on the clones who in turn retaliated with their own blue lasers. The troopers far outnumber the droids but with them standing between the troopers and the trees their numbers started to falter as cannon fire took the lives of more troopers. The ones who survived the bombardment managed to take cover behind either debris or small slopes that covered the landscape. An explosion landed close to CT-0004, he could only spare a glance at his fallen brother who wasn't lucky enough to be further away from the blast. Ignoring the dirt and possible blood that was now splattered across his armor the trooper ran for the tree line, firing at a nearby droid that was too distracted firing at his brothers to notice him before it was too late. The screaming of starfighters whizzing by overhead gave some temporary relief as they drew the attention of the cannon fire away from the ground troops. Taking advantage of the surviving clones focused all their attention on gunning down the droids in their path. Using their numbers to their advantage the already spread-out troopers were able to shoot the clankers from all angles before pressing forward towards the trees, there was no telling how long the starfighters could stall the cannons before either being shot down or having to return to the dogfight above, so they needed to get to cover as quickly as possible.The second he reached the tree line CT-0004 turned and slammed his back against the tree. Breathing heavily as his heart raced, he carefully peaked around the corner, there was a number of battle droids scattered amongst the vegetation accompanied by about half a dozen destroyers. Thankfully it wasn't a full platoon, they were most likely stragglers returning to the complex after the first wave of attack had pushed them back. He began to fire at them, using the tree for cover as he took out a few before drawing the unwanted attention of a destroyer. Quickly turning to hide behind the tree as the heavily armored droid started firing at him, chunks of the tree were blown off as the firing continued. He looked over to what remained of the attack force, the few that had breached the forest were soon joined by the rest of the troopers who made quick work of the small group of droids. With the help of his brothers CT-0004 eliminated the destroyer and pushed further into the jungle. Although the white armor of the clone troopers made them stick out amongst the lush green vegetation this slight advantage didn’t help the droids much at this point as they were all but eliminated.“Republic forces have breached the southwest perimeter! We need reinforcements, I repeat. We need rein- GAH” CT-0004 didn't give the high pitched clanker the chance to finish before shooting it down from behind.As the sound of blaster fire slowed to an eventual stop the remaining clone troopers regrouped, the commanding clone that was assigned to lead them had been shot and the next in command decided to lead the survivors through the jungle, continuing with the original plan to meet up with and reinforce the Captains forces in order to help assault the separatist's complex. They spread out to cover more ground, making it easier to spot any potential threats while staying close enough to one another to be able to call for help if necessary. CT-0004 nervously looked around at their surroundings, having never been off of Kamino everything was new and unfamiliar; everything could be a threat. While a walk in the forest might sound nice to some, all the trooper could think about was possible droids hidden in the trees, what if they were walking into a trap? Their not-so-subtle landing gave away their position. He started muttering to himself, “Well they know we landed but we took out all the droids, so they don't know our current position, right? Yeah, they know where we landed but that's it... wait if they know where we landed, and we are obviously attacking the complex, then it's a straight line from there to the-” he was cut off by another clone, from the armor markings he could tell it was the one from earlier that picked up the group and got them moving after their superior was shot “Hey! Keep up trooper, don't want to get picked off by the natives.”“Yes sir. Sorry Sir” He responded quickly, now realizing he had started to wander away from his position he hurried back. Glancing up at the trees before turning to look at the other clone, he had brown markings on him like their former superior, although it was hard to tell now that he and most of the others were partially covered in dirt. “Are there really natives here? I didn’t see any with the droids from earlier.”“Yeah, I heard over the coms that some were seen helping the seppies and even shot a few of our men in the general's squad from the trees, apparently they were using primitive weapons so I doubt we really need to worry about them” CT-0004 gave a short nod before spacing away a little to their original position, continuing through the jungle, oblivious to the various eyes watching them from above....
