Hurray new species~

This was just one of my warmup pages at first, but then I started sketching various types of pony kinds that live in my universe~

This was super fun! I liked looking into the backgrounds of some of the mythical creatures referenced here~

I'm definitely going to using some of these characters with my nextgen!

This is the list plus a short description~
(top to bottom)

Wereponies:
Incredibly similar to vampire ponies in my universe! They can be turned or born, and on every full moon they take on some wolfish traits. Unlike vampires in my universe that become more driven (offensive) werewolves become more like soft puppies wanting love (defensive).

Alicanto Pegasi:
Based on the mythical "Alicanto" these pegasi eat various metals and ore, and become/change to the kind of metals they consume. If they do not eat for a long time they lose their wings and shine, and if they eat too much their wings become too heavy to fly. This dilemma between too much and too little is remedied by the fact that they live(d) in close herds.

Gilled Antelope:
Distantly related to the Great Seedling, Hipocanti, and Sirens. These (deer horse things idk what to call them) are not only incredibly fast and agile, but they can breathe water through gill slits on their cheeks. They are equally formidable above water and below.

Moth Ponies:
Often mistaken for their near cousins the Changelings, these shy gentle babies are pretty harmless. The only "bad" thing about these low flying, glow in the dark, curious creatures is their mouths and prey. They not only have rows of sharp teeth with a paralyzing venom, but they don't have just 1 tongue, they have a proboscis (the curly straw butterflies have to drink nectar). Their feeding methods are varied, and their adaptions are strange, but perfect.

Anubis Unicorns:
Ah yes. My favorite thing here~ Anubis Unicorns come from a tribe beyond the Equestria border in a desert climate. Although remote, their society is highly advanced, but underestimated. With few resources in their homeland they have evolved (culturally) to the practice of high magic, high enough that just one could likely hold off a princess or two. Their magic centers around creation, the nearly impossible skill of making something from nothing. They seem cold and calculated from the eyes of Equestrian citizens, but if your home was constantly threatened by the bubble gum rainbow land of Equestria I think you'd be rightfully wary and offended to see "tourists."

Succubi/Incubi:
Most of you probably know that succubi and incubi are slightly demonic creatures that use their beauty and appeal to influence ponies, and that is exactly what they do in my universe. They are similar to changelings with shapeshifting, but it is actually a spell that allows them to change forms. Depending on the circumstance they may use this magic to either stay in one static form or to use their magic as a haze that allows outsiders to see whoever they desire. Although disguises are powerful enough to hide them from others of their species, their actual luring powers are unable to be used on them. Fancy Pants and Fluer de Lis are Succubi/Incubi in my universe, and their story will be revealed in time. All you need to know is that Rose Tea (their daughter) is also a succubus.

Longma:
Essentially a dragon pegasus. They have horns, size, scales, and long tails like dragons, but they have feathered wings and hooves. They are often solitary and live in remote mountains. They are the distant cousins of Kirins, but their entrance into pony society is far more difficult.

Equestria has greatly improved, but they still feel the same silent judgement of others (primarily the bitch ass unicorns in Canterlot). But their entrance into my next gen cast is gonna be AWESOME!

But otherwise these versions of them are a sorta closed species~

That lil bab in the corner that I definitely didn't forget about is Zig Zag Vine Fruit and she is the final in my AppleDash kiddos~
