Drawn in Sai. I haven't used it in a while in favor of MyPaint. I do miss some of the brushes in Sai. I should probably figure out how to mimic them in MyPaint.What I really miss about Sai is the formats it can export to.

I really like the feeling this image gives, and the linework. I don't know anything about Adrianne, but she seems, to me, to be a sort of rough-and-tumble character. (Either that, or she just got woken up...)
The texturing and the feeling of the brushes used in the background are nice... Are those custom? (I can't exactly go looking at SAI at present, but... well..)

She's more of a character study so she isn't particularly in any of the stories I'm working on right now.
As for the brushes, none of those are custom. Some of them are super duper huge versions of pre-existing default brushes. They tend to have extra details when you use their maximum size.

I love the detail in the hair and clothing folds along with her serious pondering pose. Those along with the background give this a real noir kind of look, the kind that would go very well in a serious dramatic kind of series.

I've never tried out MyPaint. I'd have to check it out if you've been using it more than SAI! I don't think I'd be able to give up SAI myself.

You would do wonders with it! You really ought to try it. I think you're going to love the controls. It's also free and lightweight so it won't be a strain to your computer!
