Trixie is pretty much just a mean one dimensional character now, but with boy!Trixie we saw a different side of her, and I could sympathize with her actually.

How could they reveal a secret side to a character in one episode and ignore it in every other episode said character appears?

Trixie seemed to steadily be getting nicer to Timmy until season 3.
By than many characters were give one-coin personalities. Cosmo dropped several IQ points, Wanda became naggy, Timmy became selfish..
