I really like the exposure and compostion you've got here.
i would really like to know what kinda of toning you've done here? is it working the darkroom, or photoshop?
you have a very good eye for composition.

well first you need to get good at processing your b/w film so you can get predictable results. Then you can do some reading on basic zone system stuff and test your film for an EI and at that point you're pretty much there just have to meter and place your tones where you want them.

yeah EI is exposure index and basically what that means is the true iso of the film because all the brands always beef up their isos rating the films too fast. When I meter my photos I place my shadow detail (Zone V) then I meter my highlight detail (Zone II) and depending on the difference between them I decide how to process that roll of film. These ones where i'm shooting into the sun usually get processed as a n-1 or n-2 depending on how bright the sky is or how many clouds there are in the sky. I do all of it with a reflective meter.
Hope this helps.
