A person can really feel sorry for her. Her good intentions never seem to work out for her. Plus, in season one, she revealed how lonely she actually is in life.

I suspect that many people (in one way or another) would connect with like that. Even popular people tend to be lonely as it is kind of tricky to find a true friend. Honestly speaking, I still wish she were with Duncan, but that's just my opinion.

As I do, Gwen and Duncan were cute together. I thought Courtney and Duncan were cute at first, but Courtney was way too demanding and a bit of a control freak; that's just my personal opinion, of course. Plus I hate how she was trying to change him to be "perfect"

I totally agree with you. Courtney did start out as being a sweet girl and started off being a good match with Duncan as she was letting loose and discovering what a less strict style of life is all about. However, it would seem that her personality of being in control and rather self absorbed surfaced and thus we saw her true colours. For some reason, Duncan kept on worrying what Courtney thought about him rather than the great girl at his side (Gwen). I suppose Courtney fell into the old way of not finding a guy best suited to her, but rather trying to find a person that she could mold to her every whim. Again, my own speculation, but I suspect it may very well be true.

And I think that's why Courtney was partial to Scott. I think she liked him a little bit, but for the most part I think she only liked him because he actually enjoys being bossed around. And as for why Duncan getting all worried because Courtney was blanking him,I think it's because a small part of him missed her crazy side when she wasn't all uptight. When she let her guard down and showed a bit of passion.

What could also be a factor with Duncan feeling like that with regards Courtney blanking him is the fact that he wanted to be the only one saying he didn't care about their relationship being over. As they say, when you suddenly can't have something you've had it suddenly becomes all the more attractive. With Scott, Courtney could do exactly what she wanted. As you say, she probably did like him a little, but saw that he was really maleable. She could thus do with him what she wanted. Plus, one has to take into account the rebound factor I suppose.

At the end of the day, I suppose it could come down to who is the most insecure. Plus, Duncan is dealing with his own issues of trying to deal with allowing his gentler side to show. He's worked so hard on being the 'bad guy' and yet it would seem that his true persona is that of a softer person. Poor Gwen seems to be on the other side of the coin. She is desperate for friendship and acceptance but hasn't had much of that, hence her attire. But, when she does get some and it is removed, it hurts her deeply. She has allowed her defensive walls to drop and paid the price sadly. Hence the crying over Courtney's problems with her.
