Hardworking: he does his job, and he does it well, and considering he lives under his employer's roof, he'd be penniless and homeless if he ever up and decided to get lazy. besides that, its been ingrained into his skull since he was young that if we was going to start something, he'd better finish it.

Vain: Its a mild affliction, but he does love to look good. He never leaves the apartment without checking a mirror and there is constantly a comb in his pocket. He's intensely aware that how you look is how people are going to perceive you and he enters the world prepared. There are few times one could catch him in a state of disarray, and if you managed it, he'd swear you to secrecy upon pain of death.

Extroverted: He will gladly be the first to strike up a conversation with a stranger or go out on the town on a saturday night, though you might want to watch his alcohol intake if you tag along. he gets really touchy feely when he's inebriated. Neil tends come off as open and personable, willing to talk to anyone and welcome anyone he meets, and this sometimes translates as being trustworthy, though do so at your own risk. while he will not turn away someone he trusts, you having trust in him is meaningless untill its reciprocated. History:It was as normal a life as could be expected for a time. His father raised him knowing what he was and embracing it, though it was lonely for a kid. they always tried to stay outside of communities or arguments, only venturing into town for work and supplies. But they got comfortable, and careless. the work was good, and Neil's father was getting old, and tired. it was 1861 and Corneilus was 19 years old, and the american government wasn't about to let a fresh body get away. He was drafted into the confederate army and after sparse training and some disobedience on Neil's part, he was assigned to look after the horses as punishment, but this wasn't his fight and he wanted no part of it, so first chance he got, he ran. He became a deserter and hid with his father for the years it took the fighting to finish, mostly in the guise of his fathers horse. it was always easier to travel that way. after the time it would have taken for Neil to be considered dead, they went back to their usual work, posing as horse and driver for carriage companies

Their trade was beginning to become more and more sparse, forcing them to travel farther, and stay longer where it was available. but when by happenstance, one old independent company owner found them out, he took them in, gave them a contract, and passed it down to his son, Thomas, who keeps them on the pay roll. its easier to feed and house two men under the table than an extra horse, so his dad acts as caretaker and Neil's some extra horseflesh, and they like it that way.

The swells of the sounds of war were only background noises. she'd done this before. the king liked to throw the creatures he had under his command into the foray too much for him to be gentile. at least the gorgons had survival experience. most of them anyway. some were very young, which was good, their numbers needed replenishing....but they did not know what came before. the loneliness or the fear or the outrage. the being forced to abandon your home, your family, your sisters. all for the sake of survival from a ruthless enemy who viewed you as little more than an animal for slaughter. It was a blessing and a hindrance to the sisters. They needed to know that innocence again. to remind them of their softness beneath the scales, but this was a war. innocence could get you killed.
