Description Okay, I love the movie, but in the book EVERYTHING is different. Read and compare, but, beware: in the book the witches are rather unpleasant. They look different, too, and have colorful auras and stuff.
Jane is black-haired, with light-brown eyes. She's really mean and a bad mother. Embraces her dark magic side.
Alexandra is the oldest. She's blonde and overweight and is the strongest witch. Messes with nature, has bad temper.
Sueky's the youngest. Apricot-red, freckled, green eyes, big nose, upper lip's bigger than lower. Described as monkeylike, a bit of a bimbo.
And then there is this snow-queen-like girl Jenny that the witches befriend and later torture out of jealousy without her knowing.

So yeah, I'll stick to the movie, folks.

what drew me to this piece was the eye-catching composition. I also do a lot of 'character portraits' and I always find it hard to incorporate more than three characters (and to attempt four is a major feat.

But you went for a very simple yet emotional, character-driven design; very expressive faces surrounded by colorful "auras" (the background reminds me of pictures of aura readings- was that what you were going for, with the whole magical theme?)

I love the colors and textures you were able to achieve. Is this watercolor? or colored pencil or a combination? Each girl has makeup that looks as good as any youtube tutorial, but Sueky is by far my favorite. In addition to the fact that gingers have very difficult features (the freckles and pale skin, combined with the challenge of creating a color palette for vibrant, realistic, red-hair,) she is so beautifully designed.

As for places where you can improve; I don't really see any, other than the lack of detail. Which is fine for this piece, since this is more of a study on texture and color.

But if you ever did a re-do of this it would be interesting to see you incorporate more of their bodies (necks, torsos, etc) so you could show their individual fashion styles.
