Do you know why Zootopia is going to be better then SING even though it hasn't come out yet it's because for two reasons one it's openly stereotype and two and this is the most important one out of all of it NO MUSICAL And yes discounts the musical by the look of it it's like a rip off version of American Idol and all the other stupid singing TV shows

SING was in no way, shape or form a damn rip off of Zootopia. It didn't have nothing similar or same as Zootopia in it at all, they both face completely different problems, they were not aiming at mammals, it was all animals. How come just because Zootopia had one damn singer in it, people thought SING ripped off that movie? Seriously? Do you know how many movies there are with human-like animals? I really fail to see how people think SING is knock off.

SING and Zootopia have little to absolutely NO similarities to each other.

I don't think Sing is trying to rip-off Zootopia. I think it's trying to rip-off the 2011 Muppet Movie:

Think about it. The theater's been weakening popularity, and the Koala's trying to bring it back to relevancy. That's just what the Muppets were doing; trying to regain relevancy.

That's a vague connection, I saw the movie, it's NOTHING like either of these things, it's not a ripoff of Zootopia just because it has anthro animals, and it's not a ripoff of the Muppets because it's about a failing theatre.

No, I hate how everyone thinks that any anthropomorphic animal film made after Zootopia is a ripoff, entertainment has been using anthro animals since before Zootopia's writing began.

I don't know how this is a ripoff of Zootopia, other than the fact its in a world of anthropomorphic animals. Infact, Sing! has much more diversity in it, and I actually enjoy the overall style much better than Zootopia. Zootopia has lore, Sing! has a simple world with many different animals that doesn't need explaining.

First, I would like to say, that other than Scarlet Johansson and the gorilla, I'm not interested in this movie. Why? It's not because it's a "Zootopia Knock Off", because that's wouldn't even make sense. Hell, it's not even because of the twerking, as it's meant to be a joke and a pop culture reference (not a good one). It has more to do with it coming off as generic in my eyes and having them as animals doesn't make sense as they seem to bear no trait of animals, it doesn't reflect anything. What I'm trying to say is, as a gripe, it's basically just humans in animal bodies instead of animals put in humane situations.

Now on to Zootopia. Haven't seen it. I'm gonna rent the DVD on blueray come pay day, but Zootopia didn't start an animal society. Hello, there was Rocko's modern life, and I don't even think that started it. So let's stop giving the animal society credit to Zootopia, even if it did revolutionized it. Hell, people on deviantart did the animal society before the trailer came out. Sonic SatAM was about rebelling to take back their way of life. Also, how can Sing rip off Zootopia when Zootopia just came out. The trailer came out in June 2015. I'm no animation expert, although I do wish to tackle the field, but animation takes a long time to do. Years even. Yeah, maybe with recent technology, it could have sped up the process, but I you can't forget pre-production, production and post production. So how could Sing rip off Zootopia.

Now don't misunderstand me, Sing looks kind of Generic and seems to just ride off pop-culture, but knocking it and calling it a Zootopia knock off is stupid. I've seen worse knockoffs like the little Panda Fighter trying to piggy back of the success of Kung Fu Panda (thanks mom). However, this film could turn out good or just be what Shark Tale is to Finding Nemo. Who knows?Β

Fluffy-boats In reply to Idontcareforeal [2016-12-29 03:42:52 +0000 UTC]

It's a pretty good movie actually, sure it's simple, but I enjoyed it, and the look is a lot more toned down than Zootopia as well, I'm not too big on vibrant colours. The animal diversity was great, so I can say if you want a simple, fun, and cute movie with some very good animal designs plus characters, then Sing! is for you. It's meant to be comedic, and it is definitely not a knock-off.Β

That movie was such a rip off of Zootopia. Literally stole the animal looks and almost entire town! They just changed the main characters and plot. It's also like sly cooper. Zootopia'a fame is really starting to rub off of the fans that other movie producers want to do the same XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Fluffy-boats In reply to goldyxdragon [2016-12-29 03:41:38 +0000 UTC]

Definitely not, just NO. Making a film takes YEARS, so they couldn't have stolen the idea. Anthro animals have been in the movie business before Zootopia was thought up, and the designs in Sing! are completely different! If anything I like them better :> I think you're just getting a little ahead of yourself trying to make Zootopia look "all mighty"

goldyxdragon In reply to Fluffy-boats [2016-12-29 04:32:57 +0000 UTC]

Ok already, I made this comment Months ago. I knew it was not a rip off a long time ago. It just Accrued to my 10 month old mind that it was such a coincidence seeing many anthro movies in the same year. Obviously Sing had started their process years ago. Read the date next time sense people can always change their opinion in 10 months.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Fluffy-boats In reply to goldyxdragon [2016-12-29 04:47:47 +0000 UTC]

I did read the date, but I think it's already very questionable how quick you were to assume the movie was a ripoff and etc, don't ya think? You were acting like you KNEW it was going to be terrible, and sure, there are those movie trailers that are clear ripoffs, but Sing seemed pretty good! Other than the odd Zootopia fans who accused it of being a ripoff because of anthro animals, (like Zootopia was the first), including YOU, the movie was awesome.

Dang, calm down. We're talking about a movie here. I made a mistake, don't we all? I had an opinion that changed. Accept that.

Fluffy-boats In reply to goldyxdragon [2016-12-29 04:57:48 +0000 UTC]

Alright, but it'd be good to realise that your comment was an opinion, if you would bother to read it again, you were downright accusing it of being a ripoff, including saying things like, quote, "That movie was such a rip off of Zootopia. Literally stole the animal looks and almost entire town!" Zootopia was a city, which looked nothing like the toned down, realistic town in Sing!, and the animals look nothing like the ones in Zootopia, infact there's more of an animal diversity with birds AND reptiles as well, plus I enjoy the porcupine designs- "They just changed the main characters and plot. It's also like sly cooper. Zootopia'a fame is really starting to rub off of the fans that other movie producers want to do the same XD" No, none of the characters in Sing held any resemblance to ones in Zootopia, and since I corrected everything you said before that, the ONLY, ONLY, resemblance between the two is that they are anthropomorphic animals in a 3D film. Zootopia couldn't have rubbed off on the producers considering it was released the same year, when movies can take over a decade to make, including pre-production and just coming up with the idea itself.Β

You at the time clearly weren't implying it was just your opinion.
