Oh sheesh. I was bad again and finished up yet another personal project instead of working on requests. I am just the worst!I sketched this in order to celebrate Metroid's 25th Anniversary which for whatever reason was not at all acknowledged by Nintendo. I absolutely love Metroid, the series is probably my favorite of all time and so I was nervous about drawing something for it. It made me feel inadequate drawing something I loved so much, but I think it turned out all right in the end! Ever since Brawl, I think Pikachu and Samus have made an awesome team.
Happy Birthday Samus! I'm sorry you don't have legs or a right arm!

Yeah, even Kirby was aknowledge and his series isn't nearly as iconic and popular as Metroid (I still like Kirby though).
She really desrved a celebration or something, even mario got a special edition classic game collection.

Yeah, poor Samus can't catch a break these days. Other M seemed to bomb, and all we're likely to get is the FPS ones from now on.

I'm so glad you like it! Yeah, I never even got through Other M actually. The dialogue made me facepalm too much. I'm really not sure where the series will go from here, I can only hope that they don't give up on it completely. :C Maybe they will re-render Metroid II? That might be nice.

I'd really like a new story altogether. The last great one was Zero Mission, but that was an extended remake. Sending Samus to a new planet to eradicate a new threat; it can't be that hard, Nintendo. x.x

And I, being a guy, find it distressing when most videogame vixens are mostly there as eyecandy nad have nothing to do with the story whatsoever. That's why i love Samus. yes she's gorgeous, but the most you see of her is Armor Suit Samus. Very little fanservice there... until you get to Other M and they killed her personality.

But the controls and the animation was beautiful. and the black character they had was AWESOME. would love to see a co-op game involving him and samus. MOST BADASS SUPPORTING CHARACTER!

It's really too bad that I didn't get far enough into that game to learn much about Anthony. All I really remember is that he showed up, said, "Remember me?" and I said, "Nope. Nope I do not remember you at all actually. But hi!"

I have to agree with the general consensus that this is so cute that if logan saw it he would squee and die XD and i think it looks fantastic. How much that's worth from someone with a high sense of personal aesthetics and basically no structured art training i don't know. Samus is probably just holding her energy whip out of the way with her right arm so that it doesn't hurt pikachu ^___^

Hey there's a good idea! Actually I tried to draw the other arm a number of times and had trouble negotiating it through her hair. Which may very well be a real world problem.

haha awwww thaaaanks ^////^ and yes, i do believe that getting my arm through my hair if it was that long would be quite a chore. I'm often surprised in brawl when she doesn't get blinded by her own luscious locks as they fly around during her arial acrobatics XD
