Description Remember that random picture I drew? Well, now it's turning into this twisted little AU.

In this world, a certain virus has forced a hasty reevaluation of what's considered "human".

Guess who doesn't qualify?

Hey, I meant to ask you - but between me stealing your art and you trying to banish me with the magical fish of doom I forgot - is this piece made out of vectors? It looks like something done in Illustrator but I read in your info that your tools of trade were pencils, paper and free photo editors - or perhaps I got it wrong? - so perhaps this is a raster image instead? But-but it looks like vectors!!!! >_<

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Peski In reply to SonikaCreatives [2009-02-14 13:55:48 +0000 UTC]

Oh, they're rasters, alright. Almost everything in my gallery was made with MS Paint. I actually only use the photo editor to shrink the images and save in better quality.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

SonikaCreatives In reply to Peski [2009-02-14 14:49:17 +0000 UTC]

Niiiice!
I still got it in me!! (be able to recognize vectors)

I see, so then the original MS paint file is big and you later shrink it. Neat procedure. I honestly never would have thought that it was done in Paint

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Peski In reply to SonikaCreatives [2009-02-14 15:09:46 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, the original Paint files are about 3600px on the shortest side.
Heheh... I guess I'm doing something right, then. Nice detective work, by the way.

SonikaCreatives In reply to Peski [2009-02-14 15:12:38 +0000 UTC]

O_O
3600 px?!!! Man, that's HUGE!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Peski In reply to SonikaCreatives [2009-02-14 15:16:07 +0000 UTC]

It is? Hm, my monitor must be bigger than I thought.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SonikaCreatives In reply to Peski [2009-02-14 15:24:57 +0000 UTC]

Honestly, any 3600 pixel file is huge, even for Photoshop!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Peski In reply to SonikaCreatives [2009-02-14 15:28:18 +0000 UTC]

Wow, I had no idea. I guess that's why it takes a little longer to save. CX

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SonikaCreatives In reply to Peski [2009-02-14 15:34:43 +0000 UTC]

O_o;

Eh, we're talking about 3600 or 360 pixels?!! 3600 pixels is HUGE even for Photoshop. 360 pixels is NOT problem for Photoshop - unless the computer doesn't have too much RAM - but it can be painful for MS paint.

You're about to give a seizure to your computer!!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Peski In reply to SonikaCreatives [2009-02-14 15:45:41 +0000 UTC]

How am I supposed to shrink 360 pixels?

lol My gigantic pictures are the cholesterol in my computer's heart. It's just a gigantic disaster waiting to happen.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SonikaCreatives In reply to Peski [2009-02-14 15:53:47 +0000 UTC]

Just making sure I didn't misread!! >_<

Actually, I was checking with Photoshop, and is NOT a bad size to work (as long as the resolution is NO bigger than 300dpi), but yeah, for MS paint is really a big file and if your computer is kind of limited in RAM, then yes, is a gigantic disaster waiting to happen. Poor computer!! Give it veggies or some anti-cholesterol pills

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Peski In reply to SonikaCreatives [2009-02-15 05:23:41 +0000 UTC]

My computer's got plenty of RAM. Um, I think. I should probably check that out... >.>
In the meantime, I'll be sending the poor thing to the gym for a good workout.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SonikaCreatives In reply to Peski [2009-02-15 06:14:35 +0000 UTC]

O_o
And how much RAM does the poor computer has?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Peski In reply to SonikaCreatives [2009-02-15 06:36:44 +0000 UTC]

I don't know, but it can have 5 of those big images, music, internet, a video and a game of solitaire running at once without slowing down. (Can you tell I get distracted easily?)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SonikaCreatives In reply to Peski [2009-02-15 14:48:44 +0000 UTC]

How in the world can you NOT know how much RAM it has?!

Hmmm... are you using a Windows computer? Look for the "My computer" icon. Right click over it, select PROPERTIES from the submenu and a small window will open. There you will see info about the version of Windows you got, some weird license number and in the last line of the section "Computer:" it tells you how much RAM the machine has

Yes, I CAN tell you're easily distracted. I'll have to solve that matter as well it seems
