Personality: Omen tends to keep to herself, preferring to quietly admire things rather than dive straight into the action, and that’s reflected in her need for personal space. She can shut down quite easily in social situations, and isn’t great at asserting herself, but beneath her apparently distant exterior lies a great thinker with a strategy for everything.

Ability: Inner Focus - This Pokémon will not flinch. Does not prevent flinching with Focus Punch. Also prevents stats from being lowered by the ability Intimidate

Bio: Omen’s birth was… a unique case. Some call it tragic, but she’s grown to resent it being referred to as such. Her mother was a rescuer, who felt such a passion for her work that she continued to take on quests while pregnant. She did, however, agree that once Omen was born, she’d take time off to raise her, and finally the time came where she decided to do one last quest alone before her break. That’s when bad luck struck.
Omen was far too young to have recalled what happened but when another rescue team made their way to where Omen’s mother was last seen, all they found was her body and a newborn baby; coiled in her tail was a mask resembling the face of her mother. The team believed her mother had been killed while giving birth and began to turn into a yamask as she did so, but instead passed her spirit to her child so she’d survive, making the newborn part umbreon, part yamask. The team named the baby Omen for the unfortunate circumstances in which they’d found her.
Her childhood was nothing too special to her; she was raised in an orphanage and, while many seemed to pity her, she was treated with compassion and never bullied. Not to her face at least. Everyone always was a little weary of her ghostly traits, even potential foster parents. All that was really worth remembering to her was the stories she’d hear about the great feats her mother achieved, and overhearing whispered rumours that her mother had been killed by an outlaw she’d been chasing.
As soon as Omen hit adulthood and was considered old enough to make her own way in life, she sought out the guild her mother had worked for. Wanting to find out what really happened to her mother, and hoping to exact revenge on her killer, if they existed, drove her to apply for a position within the guild. It didn’t take long for her to discover an odd joy in seeing pokemons’ grateful faces after she’d helped them, however, and she’s starting to consider staying with the guild for other reasons.
