Description
The rock face is greyish-brown and looks rather dull. But to this blind lady, my OC Yi-tse, - note the white cane tucked under her arm - its beauty reveals itself via the sense of touch, note that the hands are prominent and deliberately painted a little too large. The two children are naturally curious and ask her all kinds of questions, which she is happy to answer, hence the title of this picture. The faint golden light around her head does not mean she is particularly religious or virtuous, but symbolises the "inner light" that all of us carry within us, which manifests itself as thoughts, dreams, imagination and all other inner pictures. In her case it means that, though her eyes be closed, she can see a vivid picture of the rock face in her mind's eye.
