Description Infrared Filter + Canon 10D + Castle = A lot of fun

Taken at Urquhart Castle by Loch Ness. I love my IR filter

This is a 100% real image, no mixing of two to get "cool" clouds here. Just colour adjustments across the entire image in Photoshop. I didn't partially select any bits to produce the colours you see. Its all the effect of the Infrared filter. Cool innit

Thanks Canon 28-105mm USM. Yer the hotspot is a result of the lens I think. I need to get a better camera for doing IR shots.

weird... i have the same lens i think, and it works perfectly. canon 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 usm? anyway, still a cool shot .
also, for a better infrared camera, check out the sony dsc v1. it has nightshot, which allows for infrared shots at 1/30th of a second. 5.1 mp, $299 at wolf and ritz (on clearance). check out my gallery for some shots with it.

Wow, nice photo. The clouds above the ruin look really angrey and stormy Just what an old castle needs! Now all you need is a mad scientist to be doing experiments in there If the ground was a bit darker it would look reallllly creapy.

With all these stitched together images here at DevArt, one cannot appreciate perfect unaltered photos enough!
Although I'm a huge fan of Simon Marsden's spooky infrared work, I must admit that I have never cared much for digital IR, but you used it brilliant and in support of the theme of this scenery.
I bet the landscape is mighty impressive in real life, but your infrared has given it a surreal and eerie vibe, that no "normal" photo could provide!
Top-notch work!
