I got to be honest...
Animar up to this day is still the commander of one of my most powerful decks ever!
And I chose it not for its abilities, but for the amazing illustration; the character seems powerful and yet, calm.

Very nice combination of treetrunks and cephalopod-like appendages. Very cool, but there's something about it that's holding back the true massive scope of the beast. Maybe it's the angle/perspective on IT'S right arm (the left arm from our perspective.)
I dunno, mate. It just feels like there's something slightly off, either proportion or perspective wise. Maybe it's just me though, mate. =\

BEAUTIFUL art-- it's so unusual-looking compared to a lot of elementals I've seen in various sets. I recognized your style pretty quickly, that's for sure (same with the Island you did-- great work). I don't doubt that you'll be seeing lots of folks wanting the giant foil of Animar signed at conventions.
