Thankfully I tend to stick to my ideas.
What I like is the use of texture. Do you apply this through custom brushes or do you apply it be other means?

the final picture looks amazing but the blue version of it has its own charm too..it would be awesome if you posted the blue one too?like a variation to the final.

the blue one looks like some kind of navigator, the orange one looks more like a tribal warrior queen, both equally awesome.

But yeah, looking over this, I was thinking to myself, I hate it when you have a good idea, and along comes another equally good idea, and it overwrites the first, so you don't know which one to do lol x.x!
I liked the eyeless version, it added an air of mystery to what's going on somehow, but the one with the eyes sets it off just as well, as if to give a familiarity with the figure in the pic and a way to identify with her, as if to say "yeah, this is our fate OO!"
lol but I'll shutup with my nonsensical nonsense now xD! Once again, great job, and I'm officially declaring myself bankrupt in the compliments section x.x

Ya know, the whole idea changing thing...I think the next time I do that, I'm just gonna duplicate the image and then have two different pieces with two different outcomes...LOL Imagine the spam submissions. "Here's versions, 1, 2, 3..." XD!!!
As for the bankruptcy, I filed, but it's gonna be a slow process

i would like to ask when you color the black and white layer do you merge them and then work over the image with colors , or you don't merge then and work on the black and white layer until the end?

Yea after I use an overlay layer to add colors, I usually merge them down and continue painting in color from there.
