I love how when she uses her powers they almost NEVER come out the way she wants but it some how works in the end.Kinda of like this drawing.

Runaways, has and always will be one of my favorite graphic novels more "recently" (since it's been around 9 years since it was first published) by Marvel Comics. And I adored Nico, and one of my favorite things about her is the way her staff is concealed and is summoned. Especially since, it is so serious and yet it can still be a joke. And, not only that but it's really quite awkward as well, which fits her magic casting. Especially when somebody calls to her in a situation that needs her to use her staff, and everyone thinks she may have to cut herself or something, and in turn her staff just comes forth from her chest and whoever is around her is all, "Wait..you're not bleeding.." and she just awkwardly looks away or something..

I heart Nico. Her magic is very insteresting but it must be a writer's nightmare trying to keep tabs on all the spells she's done in the past.

I love the lighting as well on this, the hair and clothes work very well i think.

Nico is my favorite of the Runaways! I'm not extremely sure how I feel about the new run though. I really like how this turned out. This is quite good or just a quick sketch.

Agreed with her powers! I think the writers do an amazing job coming up with ridiculous phrases... and the artists do an amazing job illustrating it! And I wish you would finish!

Man, I used to love this series. Then they axed Gert and the whole direction changed and I lost all interest. But that first miniseries was pure gold.
This is a really nice piece, even just as a "quick" color "sketch." There's a lot of light-play, and it adds extra dimension to the interest of the work.

Yeah. I almost wish it had been completely divorced from the rest of the Marvel U and allowed to exist entirely in its own universe. It might have flourished more in its own setting, free of the baggage of a larger universe. Then again, maybe not.
