Description Inspired by 's sculpture of the Japanese video game hero Bravoman [link] .

I've never played the game although it doesn't take much imagination to guess what it's like (sideways scrolling platformer) but something about the design of the character (and his nemesis, the alarmingly named Dr. Bomb) appealed to me.

Perhaps Bravoman's extending arms and legs remind me of Machine Man, perhaps his shouts of 'Bravo!' remind me... of someone shouting 'Bravo!' a lot, I can't quite put my finger on it.

Media:
Pencil and pen sketch
Scanned and painted in CoralDraw using a graphics tablet.
This has been my first experiment in using the tablet to paint in the same way I would with real paint. The original inks are almost completely obscured. It's ended up being a little more garish than I anticipated but otherwise I am happy with the outcome.

For more exciting info about Bravoman see his Wikipedia entry: [link]
