Do you want to know what I like about Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson's intake on Peter Pan and dislike about 'Sir, Barrie's'?
Peter's origin: I like that Peter is an orphan from St. Norbert's Home for Wayward Boys(Barry and Pearson) instead of him being "abandoned" by his parents(Barrie).
Peter's personality: Peter feels a great sense of responsibility for his friends and is attracted to girls(Barry and Pearson), while he is very careless and never feels guilt for anything(Barrie).
Flight: In Barry and Pearson's story, Peter gained permanent flying ability by over-exposure to starstuff(like). In Barrie's story, Peter – like all infants – was part bird, which allowed him to fly away. Later, the fairies helped him fly(dislike).
Eternal youth/Not growing up: Barry and Pearson's story tells how Peter, approximately twelve to fourteen years old, gained eternal youth, A starstuff leak in the water of Mollusk Island(Neverland) caused the tribe, boys, pirates, and everything on the island to not age. In Barrie's story, which I think is just silly, it states that Peter – as an infant at seven days- He simply refused to grow up and was found by Tinker Bell and taken to Neverland, but seem to have grown taller.
Neverland: In Barry and Pearson's story, Neverland is a physical island that can be reached by ship. Starstuff is responsible for all the strange creatures(like). In Barrie's story, Neverland is an island derived from a child's make-believe and dreams, which also shape the actual island and give it its magic(dislike).
