Description One of the corps d'elite among the elite, the Adeptus Virtus honour guard. Armed with massive power axes and boltguns, they protect that which matters most: the Master of the Chapter, and the sacred places of the Soulforged.

Is the axe plasticard? Or pirated from an enginseer or something?

That's some real nice work on the shoulderpad. Space Marines are generally hard to make original-looking, but it looks like you don't need to worry about that.

It's always a good day in my book when I find a deviant who also does Wh40k.

Thankee.

The shoulderpad embossing is an idea I stole from the Archangel model I saw at the Golden Daemons a while back.

Oooh, very cool - very nicely done, Peter! You said "converted" - did you modify the model itself as well as painting it?

The model is fairly modified from the original 'base' as you would.

The body is that of a Dark Angels space marine, and would normally just carry a rifle. I modified it to carry the rather large axe and the pistol. As well I added the hearaldic sheild - the blocky thing that you can't much make out by the pistol. As well, the robe folds were a little exxagerated with some modelling clay, to make it easier to paint them.

A lot of it is just a steady hand, and preseverance.

A trick that can make the art look a lot better is to do layering, even a little helps, for example on the robe I put a dark red all over it as a base coat, and then on top of it, I put a lighter red on the tips of the folds in the robe.

Thanks for the comment
