Few characters have evolved more in blender than Fae has, at first she made me wonder if shifting from Iray to Cycles was a massive mistake, but truthfully she is looking more stunning than ever beforeThe first few times I rendered her in cycles she looked awful, her skin was terrible, her hair looked flat and lifeless, even those magical purple eyes had lost their sparkle, Fae as a character was all but gone
But I'm never one to give up, I kept tinkering with her skin and remapping her hair until she felt a bit more like the Fae that is such a central part of my work,
Never ceasing and never tiring I remapped her eyes 7 times until they actually regained that delicately warm but piercing tone back,
Even just typing this short part about her makes me kind of emotional as we are quite entwined,
Anytime I need to remind myself how much I have grown and learned in the last year since I moved to blender, all I have to do is look at how far Fae has come in that time and by the same value see how far I have come too
