Size: 50cm (top open), 9kg
Abilities: Anticipate, Early Bird
Description: If a child tries to open the Surprisent before it's time the pokemon will jump out and scare the child and then evolve into something the child might not like.
Evolves into: Princoal Happiness at night
Evolves into: Candoly Happiness during the day
So I figured I'd go ahead and start getting my old christmas pokemon out of the way. I know I had quite a few before, but unfortunately most of them won't make it back.
On a personal note, I'm not really sure what to think of christmas anymore.
On one hand we have christian christmas, along with all the other religious celebrations, which I'm not at all religious so there's no point in me celebrating that.
On the other hand you have secular christmas which is ungodly commercial and materialistic and nothing, but an excuse to waste money on pointless shit. So no interest there.
And then on the third hand (for all you octopi out there) we have the winter solstice. Theres really no reason to celebrate this as I don't live in an agricultural society in which I rely on my knowledge of the seasons to survive.
Anyone else having this dilemma?

As for the whole Christmas thing? Yeah, commercialisation is happening everywhere. It's the company's way of telling what to buy and when. You should notice that most stores would have Christmas stuff out months before it happens, and after that, Easter stuff comes out straight away.
But the whole POINT of Xmas is a gathering to celebrate family. Gifts are given to show love and compassion. If you're not overly fond of giving to those who don't need it, give to those who do.

well I like to give my friends little things because even though it's one time a year, I did have to spend money and time on them and actually think about something other than myself. And I personally like all the general cheeriness of people and family and food. Call it a celebration of family I suppose.

Celebrate Giftmas! Its a Christian Christmas equivelant I made up without the whole jesus part for all us non-Christian. No commercialism, no requirement to buy everyone gifts, just a family get together and exchange of gifts if you can afford them/want to give.

i think you should choose the fourth hand.... make it a CHRISTMAS season. it doesn't always have to be spend money for pointless things. give money to less fortunate. buy present for homeless or less fortunate kids, do service for others be happy celebrate the last year and all your blessings :>

Christmas was created so that the church could convince pagans in the north to convert and still be able to celebrate their winter solstice rituals. It's kind of weird that many of the things that people think of as visual christian symbols for Christmas have pagan roots but the holiday has been around for so long it probably wont go away anytime soon. I just like the fact that such an important date to many people was made because some other people a few hundred years ago decided that they would add a rule into a religion to get more followers.
