Heh. I'm doing this art for the contest of the #Org. XIII - Yaoi group.
Lately, I'm very addicted to Zemyx. Maybe because of Gris, my fanfiction of them. But, yeah, now I'll try to say why I like them so much.
...And, meh. Probably, this will be very alike Dual-sama's post about the couple. But I swear I already think some of this things of them before... Others, I just read that post and then I was like "yeah, makes sense... o_o".
But here we go:

I'm not stupid. This pairing is not cannon. Will never be, in fact, because Demyx stayed just in KH 2 and Zexion in CoM. But, as says Dual-sama, they're not crack.
The whole opositte stuff always gets me. They're completely different, yin&yang, I dare to say. But they're not so diferent at the point of a possible clash. It's just the chemistry, I guess. They're fit.
...Cahem. 69 says something too?
Zexion's is cool, too much inteligent and serious. Demyx is upbeat, lazy and a comical relief in the series. I probably just talk again what I sayd before, but this is a thing that I really like. Oposition. And love even with that.
Of course, they're not too oposites as seems. They're manipulative, for example, in their own way. Dislikes combats, too; Demyx tried everything before attacks Sora, and Zexion uses mind-rape with Riku.
I guess that, if they're together, Zexion can offers to Demyx some suport. He's pretty good at that, with his calmness and always-cool temper. And Demyx, on the other hand, can offers a little of happiness and a lot of surprises. In a good way, I must to say. Both of them can just offers to each other a comfortable security.
Finally, as Dual-sama already says: "They are nothing more than Demyx and Zexion, and what one sees in the pair of them is something so much more beautiful when combined than they would be separated."

[ EDIT ] ...And plus, Zexion's VA is Ishida Akira. THE DAMN ISHIDA AKIRA!!! ...Srlsy, someday I'll kidnap that man and make him whisper things in my ear. Miyano Mamoru (Riku) as well. CAHEM. 8DDDDDDDDDD

I tried, in this art, just put that duality, but as well that calm aura that surround them when together, that security and the whole concept of a "home".
...Even that BG just sucks. I tried, but I'm too imbecile to do a decent background with my hands. And lazy too, must to say. So, this photo just serves for a while. -q

Someday, I promess, I'll translate Gris to english, so all you guys can read it.
Btw¹, what Zexion's reading is "Beyond Good and Evil" of Nietzche (yeah, Zexy read this boring thing... Nietzche is a master, I like very much of him, but he's language is complex ><). The title of this art, "The Dawn" is a book of him too. Of all of them, this title just fits more. ...Well, I wanted Nietzche in the title too, blame me. 8DD
Btw², their clothes already appears in another fanart of mine: [ here ] . I just wanted to draw them again, most because of Zexion. Black just suits him like no other color. 8D
...........And... Damn. My english is so bad. Can I kill me now...?
