Cradling My Thoughts [link] by SeaFairy is such a beutiful piece of art work. I totally loved the shadows and the serenity and hope in it that i really wanted to draw it. There's just too much beautiful art work here on dA that i find it pointless to draw Angelina Jolie AGAIN! You should check out SeaFairy's web page as well [link]I used pencils 2H, HB, B, 2B, 4B, 6B on paper. Time: Forever.

i know how you feel. i did a colored pencil piece of this beautiful waterall poster i had, and it took like 70+ hours to finish. because it took so long, i began to loose focus towards the end, and ultimately ruined the entire upper half of the picture! -_-
i haven't done a major work of art since. i just can't get up the nerve to try something like it again! -_-.
oh well, i'm sure i'll get there someday! but yeah, i definitelt know how you feel! ^_^

Wow nicely done! It captures all of the emotion of the original image, without appearing heavy-handed or overly rendered. Very sleek and delicate. It's really a wonderful piece.
