Description “Funny you should say that…”

She stared at him with disbelief. No, don’t tell me…

“Well you see- I’m Aiden, the most powerful demon second only to the Lord Himself, or as your race calls 'the Devil.' And that, by the way, means it wouldn’t hurt you to call me sir," Aiden looked overly pleased with the thought, "Heh, I’ve always wanted to say that...”

He noticed she was not taking his explanation as well as he had hoped for. Must not have taken to the joking... Her face was pale and her eyes blank and stunned. Her eyes were different than any other humans he had seen before. Rather, any from this age. When he was alive and in his own realm, those eyes of deep purple signified Royal Blood. Yes, she will certainly be perfect.

“Now to ‘them.’ ‘They’ are the demons of the Lower Realm, called Rogues. See, normally when a human dies and has 'sins'to repent before moving on to it’s next Realm, they take its soul until it has been cleansed. Unfortunately, the Lower Realm has been beyond corrupted, so almost always the souls are stuck there to be tortured for Eternity. That is what your race calls Hell and where you would have ended up, if it weren’t for me, of course.

And we’re going to Akashiet Realm, the highest realm of Hell. So really, you we’re very close to getting it right each time,” Aiden looked over at the girl only to notice that she had fainted. “Fuck. Y’know, I‘d better not have to explain that all again, it was so well delivered.”

He mumbled to himself as he walked back to where she had fallen on the pavement and threw the girl over his shoulder. As he strolled down her driveway he heard the scream of her mother. She must have found the body. He turned to look for where they could make an unnoticed exit. He did not care that nieghbors were beginning to crowd in his direction considering he and the girl were now invisible to most humans. It was the Rogues he had to keep in mind. They would no doubt try to fight him for it, and although he was much stronger than them, he hadn’t the time to kill them all (kill being a term used lightly as they were already dead), not to mention the energy to defeat upwards of thirty Rogues and still travel with the girl to Akashiet. He decided that now, when the girl would serve to be less of a hassle, would be an opportune moment to cross Realms.

He closed his eyes and began to open a barrier away from the sight of any humans that could notice the tear in space he was about to create. He had never gotten quite used to the feeling of traveling through realms. The initial step made his cells melt into the vibrations that held them together. To pass through realms, one must reduce his being to vibrations, and although his body was certainly not physically human, it was matter nonetheless and the feeling of having himself liquidate had always unnerved him. He remembered the first time he had come to the Realm he now calls home. It was almost two thousand years ago. He had few memories left of his own Realm. It was a beautiful place, but one he would rather let himself forget. To draw back the old world’s memories would not take much effort but he had always refused. Know one understood why, but no one had cared to ask either. Aiden appreciated the lack of concern.

They walked to the Palace of the Lord. It was not possible to travel directly into the Palace when traveling through Realms, for obvious reasons but the main one had been that the Lord was not a kind man to strangers, to say the least, and did not appreciate unwelcome guests. Aiden marched up to his throne with an ego that could have been spotted miles away.

“You have returned,” The Lord watched Aiden and spoke softly. Considering his power and disposition, the Lord rarely raised his voice. He had no need to, his fierceness radiated from him nonetheless- understandably so considering he was the Ruler of Hell itself. “And accompanied by a sacrifice, perhaps?” The lust in his voice grew at the thought. How long had it been since he had tasted human soul.

“Oh no, m’Lord, this is no sacrifice. You will not believe what I have here.”

“And what is that, my son.”

“Well,” Aiden’s eyes sparkled at a moment to show his Lord the accomplishment he had made, “you’re not gonna believe me, but this girl is of Royal Blood. Man, y’know I went through a lot of shit to get this chick before the Rogues did. They were on my ass, like fifty of ‘em! I saw them coming and fuckin’ tore ‘em up before those shits knew what-“

“Aiden,” The Lord said firmly, “I do realize that eras have changed, and you spend a vast majority of your time on Earth, but must you always use that foul and degenerate language? And anyway, do tell me what your plan is for this child. She is merely a child, yes?”

“Well compared to you, yes. Compared to me, yeah. But In her world she is almost fully-grown. This is not her first life, but she is still far younger than either of us. Powerful though. Certainly more powerful than me and I fear potentially more powerful than you.”

The Lord looked at Aiden without a hint of taking this far-fetched story seriously. He asked, almost jokingly, “What exactly, my son, would lead you to reach such a conclusion?”

“Look at the color her spirit turned my amulet.”

Aiden handed his necklace to the Lord as he inspected it the stone inside the wires.
