Description This was an idea I had while playing Sapphire... my Lombre had used Strength and the Makuhita had used Seismic Toss... and I was thinking how cool that would have looked if I could actually WATCH it. XD

So here's my Lombre, Ludo, fighting that wild Makuhita.

i often imagine how pokemon battles look irl............. this is a great interpretation. u have a nice style and the shading is good too. however, mouths should not be shaded like that unless the mouth is full of something. otherwise- good job

Wow, that looks like the type of standoff you usually find on MMA bouts! Very impressive!

Ludicolo are so, well, ludicrous, that I can never bring myself to raise one.

It's Mexico vs. Japan!! *cough*

Ah, but its stats aren't shabby. Personally, I like Lombre's look better. XD

I'm actually crazy enough that I'm contemplating buying another Emerald cartridge; if I do I'll pick Torchic and most likely raise a Lotad. Just because it probably wouldn't happen any other way. O:

Them, and a Whismur. Named Drama.

Ffffff, best name for a Whismur ever. XD

Lotad (into Lombre) is pretty hardcore. One of the few pokes that learn hydropump without a TM.

Plus the water-grass combo is pretty nice...I always have trouble fighting them because they're not weak to either electric or fire.

Exactly. >8)

The only problem is, that poison types still get a nasty stab in there. >8(

Somehow I never end up training poison types...I think because I'm always PO'ed at them for poisoning me.

Dunno, they're more conducive for poisoning something then switching out... not many of them really pack a punch. >:\

That's to balance out how heinous poison can be...especially Toxic.

I have the amusing habit in battle of keeping a Pokemon out there until it faints, or it's obvious that next hit will take it out. THEN I switch. I think it's a result of my natural bull-headedness.

Oh I keep em out there too.... and I really never used toxic. Like ever. Cause I build teams to hit hard and fast to kill the enemy faster.. not to necessarily STAY out there longer. XD -heavy ATTK and SP. ATTK, lower DEFs as a result)

Me too. I discovered early on that by the time you set up enough buffs or status-reducers or what-have-you, your opponent generally has had time to take you down.

Though I do make exceptions for paralysis, confusion, sleep, or Leech Seed, if the opponent is a difficult one and I expect the battle to drag out.

Yeah, I make room for healing or confusion or sleep-inducing attacks, mainly because they are very useful in maintaining an upper hand in what you know is going to be a LONG battle. (I'm looking at you, Garchomp. >:I )
