Maybe.... naya was a good person, doing somthing to do with the mystic flame or that symbol we keep seeing. when the eruption from the valcano island hurt her and she lost her memories at that point. It makes sense why she would like water because she could be an explorer who lost her memories. Echo became a shadow for her when he saw her to get what he wants but developed some kind of attachment that makes him want to help her return her memories. His main priority is what he wanted but because he is trapped by the shadows he has to use her as a host of sorts and so he is maybe gonna try help get her memories back which in some case may help him in what he wants. All i know for sure is that we gpt a loooong journey ahead of us
