I've payed Budapest a lightning-visit today with one of my friends. The weather was rather disappointing, but we managed to get some nice shots. This is how the Hungarian capital looks when viewed from the royal castle of Buda. The tracks of the "budavári sikló" (a mountain-climbing vehicle) can be seen in the foreground. River Danube divides the two major cityparts (Buda & Pest), while the world-famous Chainbridge (originally opened for traffic in 1849) binds them back together. The densely built-in core of Pest forms the background, dominated by St. Stephen's cathedral.
