You know something? It's kinda weird, but I can see a lot of contemporary!Smellerbee in PFF2!Smellerbee in panel 3. But this page is really adorable, and it was superfluff.
Also, I like how you've been expressing Longshot's messages through caption boxes. That seems like the logical solution to handle a mute character through visible media like, say, a comic

They are extremely convenient those boxes...and knowing that quiet people in reality are quite brilliant and have a LOT going on in thier head, made me want to let Longshot narrate, but without narrating ...O_o heh, basically what you said ^_^'
And yesh, Smellerbee is kind of taking a figurative trip back in time.

It's kinda cool, knowing that she's made a tradition out of this; it's not something you would expect within the context of the show, but when you dig deeper into this huge Freedom Fighter mithos we're all working on, it really does make a lot of sense.
Also, I just noticed that Longshot has a straw hat hanging on his hat rack! Nice touch

..and about the FF mithos, absolutely. I think that's what draws us to the FFs, the very deep and painful reality of who they are, orphans of war looking out for each other, a sad but beautiful concept

ASDFGHJKL. Do you realize how amazingly in love with your art style I am? Or have I mentioned it? All the shadows and highlights and movement and expressions in these comics just stun me. The first part of this chapter, especially, is gorgeous. And the story. Like, d00d, how do you pull this off so brilliantly?
