Roundhouse kicks are the best , maybe the only kick to use in real life street situations . Not that high though

Actually, I disagree.  First off, a roundhouse has very little power unless aiming for the head.  You can easily knock someone out with a roundhouse to the jaw.  The real power in TKD comes from the sliding sidekick.  One of my girls can break 7 1" boards with no spacers.  That's 7" of wood with each inch equal to a man's rib.  So if she landed a sliding sidekick on you, she could break 7 ribs with possible punctured lungs, internal bleeding and death.

That's awesome , I like side kick too but it requires distance to get that kind of power ready . Been seeing some kyokushin techniques with face kick and it is very close quarters. The TKD kicks i am trying to master is spin hook but i want it to be second nature and not telegraphed. Your a cool dude love talking MA

Executing a kick without telegraphing your intent a mile away is a hard skill to learn.  Most anyone proficient in a martial art will be very difficult to fool, as your body gives away what you are trying to do.  I spend a lot of time teaching my students how NOT to alert your opponent.

I have seen back spin kicks loosely done in ITF teakwondo but it starts with a quick jump , not alot of momentum but it is in sparring and it startles an opponent . Usually followed by punches . Not bad but the trouble is you give up your back . Why I like roundhouse in reality sense cause I give nothing up and I can recover easily in closed guard with fists ready .

I can see where you're coming from.  The problem there is technique.  The jumping back roundhouse you described first off doesn't have a lot of power, because you're in the air, or just landing.  Whenever you're executing any kick, the power should come from your pushing back foot.  So instead of jumping/spinning/striking, you should initiate the spin with a powerful push from your back leg.  This makes the rotation extremely fast, almost impossible to predict and because your standing leg is still firmly planted, you can transfer as much power to the kick as you want.

Absolutely couldn't agree more , saw one of those ATA videos. Of some like fucking 4th degree blackbelts and they were doing that telegraphed push back . It was like headturn and push with heel , cringed hard it is like they intend on giving these kids a false sense of security in case they have to utilize some of this in real life. It is dude I understand you make heavy dough off these belt tests but you can do this to students. Techniques with no power and no way of recovery if countered and yet 4th degree . Shake my damn head
