HiSorry for people that expect action shots... there will be more soon.
So, we have a very common bird in France, the Common Redshank, hinding (or at least trying) in the grass.

Unfortunatly I havnt seen any redshanks for some time here now.. I can only hope that they are nesting.

Here, they are also nesting, but I have done this picture when the couples were made (so I have some pictures of the mating part 
How far ? Not very far, perhaps 5-6m, I used a floating hide to make this picture, so sometimes, I was too close and I got only the head
