Well, at least this summer produced ONE big SH sketchdump.Standard long desc ahoy. Some of this, as usual, is story stuff-- Gravity and Blackbirds.
In the top left, a Kaufmann! I rarely draw him, because... idk guys with slicked, neat hair are hard. I tend to only be good at drawing scruffballs. Anyway, there he is.
And then a diseased Mary face. 8(
Maria and James-- I don't draw Maria nearly often enough, despite the fact that she's one of my favorites. I'm really happy with how she turned out here-- in my previous drawings of her, she never looked quite enough like Mary. She looks a lot more like her here, which is gooooood.
A very bored Heather.
And also a Henry.
And then something that started out kind of blah but wound up actually being one of my favorite things on the page-- Harry and baby Cheryl/Heather.
Considering the basic plot of Silent Hill 1 can be summed up as "Child abuse booooo, ADOPTION YAAAAAY!", Harry is pretty much one of the most heroic father figures in video-game history as far as I can see.
Along related lines, there's a Heather and another Harry.
DETERMINED TRAVIS IS DETERMINED.
Itty bitty Heather and sitting Douglas.
The sun-bearing raven, and a tired-looking Heather.
James rushing somewhere in a hurry.
And right in the middle, THE TRIO.
MARY MARY MARY. Plus an itty bitty one holding a blob-bird.
More sun-bearing raven.
Aaaand some pouty/weirded-out Jameses.
MORE MARY. Plus a very excited James.
A couple of dynamic Heathers.
AAAAND BLACKBIRDS METAPHORICAL STUFF, MOVE ALONG, MOVE ALONG.
Harry having a bit of a wig-out session. Probably because little!Heather turned the kitchen into a large blanket-fort again.

This wtf moment was proudly brought to you by the town of Silent Hill.
And by viewers like James, Heather, and Henry.

Ugh I want Heather's birdcrow mask, it reminds me of those plague healers from the old old days.
And one can never have enough Harry! My dad kind of looked like Harry when he was like 24. Except with glasses and scruff.
MOAR KAUFMANN. He is such an asstard. If I can get my hands on a scanner I'll do some Kaufman because there needs to be more. Wonderful and lovely as usual, I bow to your beautiful works of horror.

Haha, yeah, that's a little like what I was going for! I was definitely inspired by the plague doctor designs, they always struck me as very creepy but cool.
Also, awesome. XD Harry is certainly not a bad person to look like!
There definitely does need to be more Kaufmann art. I ought to practice him so that I'll be tempted to draw him more.

ffffff I love this sketchdump so much xD Especially the adoptful (now a new word) Harry and the amazing WTF picture in the corner. My favorites though are probably the dynamic Heathers and the one colored Four and Twenty Blackbirds picture with Heather and all those pretty pinks magentas reds maroons and favorite color type of things yes. (the light is beautifully done.)

Yeah, I always imagined him as kind of muscular, like in the dog ending. :'D Maybe not that muscular, but close. xD
It might also be his skinny long face that makes it hard. o.o When I try to draw James realistically, I find it difficult as well. Maybe itΒ΄s because his face has mostly a sad feeling on it.

XD HAHAHAHA. I tend to just see him as a little pudgy-- he was apparently described by official sources to be 'soft around the edges' and 'not the kind of guy who goes to a gym'. That image from the dog ending is so lulzy, though.
And yeah, he does have that looong hangdog face. XD It's rough to draw realistically.
