This is something that's been in my head for awhile, and after being mutually dismayed at the most recent Silent Hill ... uh, 'news' (recasting all the voices for SH2 and SH3. Hint: the ones released are already horrible), and I decided to both try and do something SH2 and/or SH3-related to cheer ourselves up.
Of course, this is more... uh, Blackbirds-based than strictly SH3-based, but SCREW THE POLICE I can draw my crazy symbolic fanfiction crap if I wanna!

The details are just excellent (I especially like Alessa's mask), and the image in general is pretty gruesome - which is great. Alessa's skin is scary.
Maybe the blood on Heather's shoulders was a bit too much, but that's nitpicking because I love the whole picture.

Awh, thank you! That's really flattering-- all the bird crap is related to a fanfic I'm writing (WHICH IS REALLY AN INCREDIBLY LAME THING TO SAY ABOUT A CONCEPT, I should probably be embarrassed). Currently the only writing that's actually like... UP is from "Gravity", which is the prequel and doesn't really have much to do with the bird stuff I draw all the time yet. But please feel free to read it, it's over here . There's eight chapters written and it's currently being edited, because hot damn did it need some pruning.
ANYWAY. Thank you, again! That really means a lot to me!

And-- oh gosh, I'm really glad you feel that way! Especially about the animation-- I won't lie, aside from just plain old illustrating, I definitely picture the events playing out as though they were an animated movie when I write. XD; SO IT'S NICE TO KNOW that the writing does its job well enough that other people see that too!
I try my best to post updates in my DA journal whenever I make a significant upload-- currently I'm in the process of editing the existing stuff in addition to forging ahead, and I just finished editing Chapter 2 (boy did it need it, lemme tell ya!). But yeah, man, I'd definitely love to hear what you think about the rest if you ever get the chance to read it!
HAHA well, after awhile you just start NOT CARING. I do a lot of non-personal artwork for school, so when I get the chance to draw for pleasure, I sort of kicked myself into accepting that I should do whatever's fun, and ... Silent Hill is fun.

This is WONDERFUL, Kit! I've loved the theme of this picture since the first WIP. The composition is great and your coloring here is so goood! I love letting my eyes wander all over and finding something new to look at! I will always love BIRDMETAPHORHEATHER but Alessa is my favorite part of this, I think! Her skin came out amazing and her wilder hair makes her look feral and very 'old god'.
