In some ways, when I look at Kanaya, it reminds me of myself. I can be caring sympathetic to those I care for, but then suddenly go ape shit on everyone XD

But, the real reason Kanaya is my favorite, is because that she's not afraid to get her hands dirty when the job needs to be done. She's able to just walk in on three highbloods about to fight to the death, and just fuck shit up.

yes!! and also she's really classy, but not in a unrealistic way, like, she's not a flat character, but even though like most complex characters she has her ups and downs she's always awesome about it, she's like a badass in every way!

yeah the fandom basically takes the strongest characteristic of a character and acts as if that was their only characteristic. and that's so sad since most characters in homestuck have so many sides, and are so developed!

Exactly. Also, not to turn down any of my faith on Kanaya, but sometimes the fans really do make her look way too nice. From memory, there are moments where Kanaya kills/gores/severely wounds/attacks other creatures/trolls, and yet people only concentrate on her motherly side, thinking that's all she is.
But of course, every troll and kid do have fandom headcanons that go far beyond the actually canon themselves.

And in a lot of my opinions, I actually wish her a good clown hunting. Sure I like Gamzee, but really if you think personality wise, if Gamzee stays alive any longer, everyone will be killed by his hands.
