Oh Gawd... now THIS is a "blast from the past" so to speak...I drew this well over a year ago, i always said it would be my first deviantart upload but that never happened... I found it recently and thought it should finally get its time to shine.... i may re-do it in pen someday, that might work better....
It's based off the lyrics of the Black Veil Brides song "A Devil For Me" and one of the lines is "An antichrist for you, a fallen angel for me", the meaning I always took from this song (be it correct or incorrect) is opinions and how different things will affect people in different ways ("Just a finger flip for you, but a devil for me") and i took that and applied it to the whole "Emo" thang.
People are all like "oooh emo! Its so bad! We hate it! Its all satanic and self harm and shit!" (It's 'An antichrist for you') but in my opinion, it's merely a slightly flawed subculture (And it's 'A fallen angel for me', see?) hell, i actually find it pretty damn awesome
No matter how bad the rest of this is (*cough*feet*cough*) Im actually still proud of the hair and wings
feel free to comment, but don't be too harsh, for i was only a youngling when I drew this...

But this is really bad... this was back when i was trying to force myself to get good at drawing people with a method i had seen in so many books, and it wasn't the best method for me. It had worked for other people so i thought there was something wrong with me, but you just gotta find what works for you i guess.
You should be able to tell if a tutorial will work for you or not within a matter of moments and you shouldn't force yourself to use a method that you do not instantly think "That makes so much sense now!" Or "hey that might work!" none of this "well it works for other people so maybe im just inherently bad at this" type crap. Basically, if you feel it would be (for lack of a better word) uncomfortable, awkward, or 'just not you' to draw like that, find a new tutorial.
It took me so long to learn that, and when I eventually clued in on it my skillz improved rapidly. But again, theres still room for improvement in my work.

I believe you mean practice, not talent
I've always known I wanted art to be a big part in my life, so I was able to practice from a really young age, trust me though, its only starting to show a little bit now, i need yet more practice, especially drawing feet... XD

I have issues with feet so I avoid drawing them altogether. My drawings all have feet-less people in them
