Ah, yeah that's the older models, but frankly, of course, they're MUCH more affordable. I would also LOOOOOOOOVE to have me a cintiq companion, but I'll have to settle for intuos. BTW intuos are quite cheap, and they're considered better models than bamboo, so I would suggest that, if you want.

I recently heard about some kind of tablet that you could draw on like a Cintiq but it was waaay cheaper and, supposedly, worked just as well. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called though..

It's definitely quite a bit different than traditional drawing..at least..for me it is. I'm not very familiar with all the brushes and techniques either but, I'm sure there's some tutorials out there for Gimp and whatnot.

No worries if you forget. I do all the time unless I write it down. Then I just lose the note among other notes.
