I almost stopped reading halfway through Naruto ch 438 after i saw the panel with Pein and his wrecked cloak. I almost pissed myself, because THIS came straight into my head. I made myself finish the chapter, then whipped out all me drawing stuff and did a 'quickie' for lack of a better word. XD
Different style of chibis...kind of. :S

He's a cartoon character. A DEAD CORPSE of a anime character.
Hidan's an unfortunate bishie that has to muscle buildup to be considered "hot", but as a serial killer, that turns to be a major turnoff.
Neither of them should be considered sexy, Hidan just tries harder.
You commented on a comment I made months ago. My opinion differs now, but I still stand by my thought of Hidan being better looking (statistically) than Pain. It's unfortunate, but true to me. I don't view anime characters as hot, just as having good designs.
I can't change your opinion, but here's my advice: try crushing on an actual, kind, ALIVE man in the real world. It may not be as fantastic as a ficticious chakra-built anime character, but at least it'll give you my respect.
